India Three Urdu Academies Have Not Received Budget For Eight Years – Amar Ujala Hindi News Live

The Urdu Academy established in three different universities of the country has not received any budget for eight years. Due to which the teaching work of updating Urdu teachers has stopped here. Former Director of Urdu Academy of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, Prof. Ghazanfar says that after dividing the country into three parts, three Urdu academies were formed in the year 2006.

In fact, for the development of Urdu language, the country was divided into three zones and three Urdu academies were formed in three different universities. In this, the academy of Jamia Millia Islamia Delhi had the responsibility of teaching teachers from Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Himachal and Jammu Kashmir. The responsibility of teachers from UP, Uttarakhand, Bihar, West Bengal and Odisha was fixed on the academy of AMU. Similarly, Maulana Azad National Urdu University Hyderabad had the responsibility of South Indian states. At present the three academies do not have any budget. Therefore, teaching work is closed at all three places.

In the Urdu Academy, teachers of those educational institutions were upgraded where Urdu is taught as the first, second or third language. Madrasa teachers were also included in this. There used to be a 15 day program for the training of about 35 to 40 teachers. Arrangements for accommodation and food for the teachers were made by the academy. When the budget was closed, the teachers of Urdu Academy continued this program for a few days, but after that these programs were stopped due to financial constraints.
